[WATCH] Dolly Parton Just Put EVERYTHING on the Line to Defend Trump

Country music legend, singer, songwriter and actress, Dolly Parton, has many fans on both sides of the political aisle. It’s a shame that Parton made such a political faux pas at the Emmy Awards, one of liberal Hollywood’s platforms to slander our president.
The annual Emmy Awards is broadcast on television, and is run by, and for, the liberal entertainment industry in California. Award shows for these spoiled, entitled, performers has become their forum to get on stage and bash President Donald Trump for being a Republican, and for getting the job done.
During the Emmys, Parton went on stage with uber-liberal actresses Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda to present an award. Parton stood by silently while the duo bashed President Trump by saying, ” In [9 to 5], we refused to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot. And in 2017, we still refuse to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot.”

Parton is receiving backlash from both conservatives and liberals for her silence. The liberals are angry that she didn’t join in the joke and slander the President, and conservatives are angry that she didn’t speak up for him.
On a Fox & Friends appearance recently, Parton tried to defend her actions. Parton said, “Everybody knows I don’t do politics. I’ve got as many Republican fans as Democrats and I don’t want to make any of them made at me. I don’t play politics. Plus, I’m an entertainer. I don’t usually voice my opinion in a situation like that.”

Parton continued, “I was a little nervous, but I knew I wasn’t going to play the game. A lot of people got mad at me because I didn’t say something. I thought, ‘what if I had said something.’ I didn’t know what to say. I just always go to a boob joke if all else fails.”
Do you still support Dolly Parton, or are you angry with her?
